01
The core rule
Protect the dog’s physical safety, emotional safety, and ability to pause. BrodinnyPaw supports humane, reward-based teaching. Never use the App to justify force, intimidation, pain, panic, or punishment.
You are responsible for the real-world setup and for deciding whether a lesson is appropriate. If safety is uncertain, do not proceed.
02
Keep sessions short and achievable
- Begin in the easiest safe environment and change only one difficulty at a time.
- Use small rewards the dog can safely consume or enjoy.
- Finish while the dog can still engage comfortably; more repetitions are not automatically better.
- Give the dog room to move away, rest, drink, sniff, and recover.
- Do not withhold essential food, water, rest, toileting, or veterinary care to increase motivation.
03
Stop signals are information
Stop or simplify for pain, limping, breathing difficulty, overheating, fear, freezing, cowering, frantic movement, repeated avoidance, aggression, guarding, escalating arousal, sudden behavior change, or repeated refusal. Do not label these signals as stubbornness or dominance.
Seek a veterinarian for health or pain concerns. Seek a qualified, humane behavior professional for aggression, bite risk, serious fear, separation-related distress, or a situation you cannot manage safely.
04
Use appropriate equipment
Use well-fitted, humane equipment appropriate to the dog and activity, such as a comfortable harness or flat collar and a suitable leash. Check fit, condition, temperature, footing, traffic, escape risk, and local laws.
Do not use shock, prong, or choke collars; leash jerks; alpha rolls; hitting; yelling; forced restraint; flooding; cornering; or equipment designed to cause pain or fear. Never drag a dog or leave a tethered dog unsupervised.
05
Control the environment before behavior
- Use barriers, distance, a leash or long line, and quiet spaces before increasing exposure.
- Do not practice recall off leash in an unsecured area merely because an App lesson was completed.
- Keep dogs away from traffic, unsafe heights, toxic food, extreme weather, and uncontrolled animal contact.
- Do not deliberately provoke barking, guarding, fear, chasing, or aggression for practice or recording.
- Respect other people, animals, property, access rules, and leash laws.
06
Children require capable adult supervision
A capable adult must supervise children around dogs and control the environment. Children should not take responsibility for a dog with aggression, guarding, escape risk, or strength they cannot safely manage. Never force contact, hugging, handling, grooming, or resource removal.
07
Health and care boundaries
Articles, Tracker counts, and reminders are organizational and educational. They do not diagnose a condition, choose a medication, calculate a dose, set a vaccination schedule, or replace professional instructions. Follow your veterinarian’s directions for medication, prevention, nutrition, vaccination, treatment, and recovery.
A notification is not a medical alarm. Delivery may be delayed or blocked by the operating system, device settings, battery policy, time changes, or loss of permission. Use an appropriate medical or calendar system when exact timing is safety-critical.
08
Clicker, whistle, sounds, and melodies
- Use the clicker as a trained marker followed by reinforcement, not as a noise to startle or interrupt through fear.
- Introduce the whistle at low device volume and safe distance; stop if the dog startles, avoids, freezes, or shows discomfort.
- Do not play sounds or melodies loudly, continuously, near the dog’s ears, or to mask distress.
- Audio may affect other animals and people. Use headphones only when that does not interfere with safe supervision.
- Do not rely on the whistle as a guarantee of recall or off-leash safety.
09
Responsible use of content
Do not present BrodinnyPaw content as individualized veterinary, legal, or behavior treatment. Do not copy or redistribute substantial parts of the curriculum, use illustrations or audio as a competing library, remove proprietary notices, or imply that BrodinnyPaw endorses your service.
Do not upload or send us personal, medical, or identifying information that is unnecessary for support. Never use the Service for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activity.
10
Urgent situations and contact
BrodinnyPaw does not provide emergency monitoring. For injury, poisoning, breathing difficulty, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, serious bite risk, or another urgent event, stop using the App and contact local veterinary or emergency services immediately.
To report a safety concern in BrodinnyPaw content, email brodinnypaw.app@outlook.com with the relevant course, lesson, guide, or tool name. Do not delay urgent care while waiting for a reply.
